Choose one city in Latin America that you know has traffic issues. In teams of three find solutions to the traffic problem in the city you chose. Use what you read about or propose new ideas.
- Give specific examples and explanations.
- Find pictures demonstrating the traffic problems you are concerned about.
- Create a powerpoint presentation to present your ideas.
- Post the powerpoint presentation in the resources folder with a title (e.g. Natalia’s Traffic Solution). Click here to go there.
- Look at your classmates’ presentations. Comment on the possibility of them solving the problem by sending a sticky to the classmates.
- Read the stickies you receive and give a response to your classmates.
- Organize a debate which is the best solution and why.
- After you select the best solution, write a letter/email to your local Minister for Transport, explaining your ideas. Find the contact details on the web.
